Application Terms and Declarations
What you confirm and agree to when you submit an application to study with iAB.

1. Scope
These are the declarations you make when you submit an application. They sit alongside the Student Terms and Conditions, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Notice, all of which you can open and read before you accept anything. Nothing here replaces those documents.
3. Accuracy of Your Application
You confirm that the information in your application, and in every document you submit, is accurate, complete and genuine, and that you will tell us if anything material changes before your programme starts. You understand that giving false or misleading information, or submitting a document that is not genuine, may lead to your application being refused, your registration being cancelled, disciplinary action, or a report to the relevant authority where the law requires it.
4. Registration Documents
To complete registration iAB requires: (1) a copy of your Omang or passport; (2) a certified copy of your BGCSE certificate or equivalent showing passes in English and Mathematics. If you do not have passes in Mathematics and/or English but have completed a Diploma or Degree, provide a copy of that qualification and iAB will consider an exemption from the English and Mathematics requirement; (3) your signed or electronically accepted iAB Terms and Conditions; and (4) proof of payment of at least the first instalment.
5. Admission
You understand that submitting an application does not guarantee a place, and that admission depends on meeting the entry requirements and providing the required documents. Where you ask us to consider an exemption from the English and Mathematics requirement on the strength of a Diploma or Degree, you understand that the exemption is an admissions decision and is not granted automatically.
6. Programme, Intake and Examination Date
You confirm the programme, intake and study mode shown in your application, and that you have checked the examination date for that intake and are available for it.
7. Acceptance of the Terms
You accept the iAB Student Terms and Conditions, the Website Terms of Use, the iAB Student Disciplinary Code and the iAB Plagiarism Policy. The version you accept is recorded with your application.
8. Payment Undertaking
8.1 Fees as they fall due
You undertake to pay the fees for your programme as they fall due. Your first instalment confirms your place; any remaining instalments are due by the 7th calendar day of the applicable month.
8.2 Registration and administration component
You acknowledge that P400 of your first instalment is a registration and administration component covering the processing of your application, and that subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the electronic communications and transactions act and the consumer protection act, it is not refundable. Any statutory cancellation or cooling-off right you have takes precedence.
8.3 Liability for the full fee after commencement
You acknowledge that subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the electronic communications and transactions act and the consumer protection act, once you are registered and the course has commenced you are liable for the full course fee, whether or not you attend, complete the work, sit the examination or withdraw.
8.4 Instalments do not reduce what you owe
You acknowledge that the Easy Payment Plan is a way of spreading payment of the total course price, not payment for the parts of the course you use, and that stopping your studies does not automatically cancel instalments that have not yet fallen due.
8.5 Late payment and recovery
You acknowledge that a late payment fee of P100 per month applies to each overdue instalment, and that if your account remains in arrears iAB may, to the extent the law allows and after appropriate notice, suspend your myiAB access, withhold results or a certificate, refer the account to a debt-collection agency, or take legal proceedings, and may claim reasonable lawful recovery costs.
9. Property and Damage
You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own belongings brought onto iAB premises or to a training or examination venue, except where loss results from iAB's negligence or from a liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. You agree to be responsible for the reasonable cost of repairing damage you cause to iAB property, or to the property of a venue or a third party, through your own act or omission. This does not extend to loss iAB causes itself, and does not cover any liability that cannot lawfully be transferred to you.
10. Processing Your Personal Information
You acknowledge that iAB will process your personal information to assess your application and, if you are admitted, to administer your studies. That processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract and then to perform it. It does not depend on your consent, and you are not being asked to consent to it here. Our Privacy Notice explains it in full.
11. Marketing Is Separate and Optional
Marketing consent is asked for separately, is never a condition of applying, and can be withdrawn at any time without any effect on your application. If you did not tick it, we will not send you marketing.
12. What We Record When You Accept
When you accept, we record which consents you gave, the version of the consent wording, the date and time, and your application reference. We do not collect any additional personal information merely to evidence your acceptance.
